Cisco puts 'Meat' software on the kernel  Cisco CCNA Switch Certification
 
Cisco's Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) routing and switching certification, to a greater software focus by sharpening the focus on software-defined networking, analytics, and network function virtualization.
"They are under sieges from so many different companies these days, and with the evolution of technology to stay in the game, they need to drive their core certification," said Mike Zanotto, Chief Operating Officer of Campbell, Calif Skyline Advanced Technology Services, a top Cisco solution provider and Gold Partner. "They want the route, CCNA switch to have more software meat because all the advance technologies that come into play these days. It's a good step from Cisco."


Tejas Vashi, Director of Product Strategy and Marketing at Cisco, said the revised certification "opens a world full of new opportunities" for channel partners. "Channel partners will be able to increase the number of deals, increase the deal size per business - it's really a golden opportunity for partners"
